With Valentine’s Day around the corner, I’m sharing a festive take on a dessert board concept that we love at my house.
I got everything you see here from my local Trader Joe’s, and any market will have plenty of options to create this spread. The only keys are to use whites, pinks, reds, and Valentine’s Day appropriate shades, and to use a mixture of shapes and sizes, and balance out the weight of the board visually.

- This is easy, anything! Truly…you can’t go wrong. If you find it pretty, festive for the holiday, and delicious, throw it on there.
- The roses are purely decorative and are easily left off. Feel free to swap in a different flower or greenery (such as these or these), some fresh mint or basil, or leave the garnish out.
Since most of us are probably spending Valentine’s Day at home, this is the sort of recipe idea that comes in so handy. It’s beautiful, it’s interactive, and it requires little effort. Win, win, win.
Valentine's Dessert Board
- 12 vanilla meringues
- 2-3 cups yogurt covered pretzels
- 2-3 cups popcorn
- 1-2 cups vanilla wafers
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 cup red licorice
- 2 cups mixed berries
- roses, or any flower, for garnish optional
- Arrange the meringues in a "lazy river" diagonally across the middle of the board, the long way
- Fill in the rest of the space with loose piles of the ingredients, balancing out he visual weight as you go.
- Don't be afraid to pile sections high, or have it look a bit messy. It adds to the fun!
